The jumbo fly related to the Core theme, "Jumbo Shrimp". There is somewhat of a "gross" and hilarious feeling within the piece. It could be the yellow hue laid on top of the paper or the ideal of a giant dirty fly above a city. The city in the lower part of the piece has a dreary aspect within the charcoal wash. It is not Chicago but Nashville. Earlier this year, the city of Nashville flooded and killed 8 to 10 people. It destroyed a bit of interior space and other things. With that fact, the work may seem a little bit more in the anti-funny side. You can decide how you feel about the fly.
my recent art!
The first 3 works posted are of my Core work for the theme "Jumbo Shrimp"
This is one of my first paintings from painting class. It has a Pink Flamingos vibe into it. That's what I hear.
Another painting project. I didn't like painting it at first because it was boring but I put color into it. It will suffice.
This is my self-portrait for the first week of my English class. The class is called "Art of Crossing the Street". I recommend people taking the class if they have the chance.
